"BREAKING ULSTER NEWS - MILLWALLS FOREIGN LEGION TEAR THE WATFORD WIMPS A NEW ONE!!!"
Superb performance all round today. Just shows what we are capable of. I loved the aggression with every tackle, and we rarely looked under any pressure. More of the same please.
Have to applaud our travelling support. Full voice, loud and proud.
Good to see young Esse getting a run out.
COYL.

Rowett brought on Shackleton to virtually man-mark Asprilla in midfield because he was dominating for a little spell. Flemming moved out to the left.

Asprilla has become frustrated as a result and any upper hand they looked to have gained has been snuffed out. Firstly by the tactical change and secondly by the Flemming goal.

Very astute bit of management by Rowett.
By not making subs at 60 mins as he usually does, he was able to keep his powder dry and react to situations like that. Perfect game management by Rowett and Barrett today.
So nice not to be chasing a game for once and making panicky substitutions in search of a goal.

That first half performance was the best I’ve seen us play for a very long time. Sharp creative solid it was worthy of a few more goals Watford we’re just not in it. Second half was difficult against 10 men and we were sloppy a couple of times. However for me 10 out of 10 to all the players. A superb and thoroughly deserved win. More of the same please.

Superb 2nd half, and thankfully we did keep the tempo up and Fleming was denied a goal by the Watford keeper in the 50th minute! Sav had a couple of chances, but the best one fell to Voglsammer when he delightfully chipped their keeper, only to see it hit the crossbar!

Throughout the majority of the 2nd half, the Watford players just looked so disinterested, allowing our midfield to just stroll about and control the game! They never looked like equalising, and the game was put to bed in the 83rd minute! Wallace on the left did well, only to be fouled to the left of the penalty box. Fleming whipped the FK in, and all the way through a sea of players, the ball evaded the Watford keeper and nestled into the far corner of the goal!

In the 80th minute, Honeyman came on for Voglsammer and Watford brought on a couple of subs who made no difference! In the 89th minute, Esse came on for Saville, and in injury time, a mix up in the Watford defence nearly allowed Bradshaw to poke the ball over the goal line, but it wasn’t to be!

All of the players played well in the 2nd half, but overall I’d give MOM to Danny, who was everywhere today! Some great defending and some good crosses epitomised just how much of a work rate he offers the team! Billy had an exceptional game as well. Him and Sav bossed the midfield and limited the Watford players from getting the ball forward to their forwards!

That win puts us in 6th spot, on 35 points, 1 point behind QPR who are away at Cardiff, so hopefully the sheepshaggers can do us a favour and beat them today! Preston could also go above us, if they beat Huddersfield today, so let’s hope a draw or a surprising away win will keep them out of the play offs!

Can’t wait for Thursday, and another home win against The Robins, to hopefully consolidate our PO position before the January transfer window opens!

From the Watford forum…

“2-0 flattered us, it could of been 5 or 6 but again, credit Bachmann who tries to keep us in games. Our goals for ratio is rancid too for a side who is supposed to be reaching for top six. We will finish bottom six. We do not have a Championship side, and if we do, we play like a relegated threatened side - which is what we will be if we continue to play like total pish. Happy New Year everyone, oh wait we play Swansea before that, happy might not be the best word. WAKE UP POZZO, sort this mess out or will be playing Charlton and Shewsbury in two years, or worse.”

love it how he uses charlton as an example of a really shit team they’d have to play in the league below 🤣
