The definitive new manager speculation thread

Not only a brave move by the club but a bold decision by Edwards too, leaving what I assume is a cushy number at the FA to come and manage a bunch of wrong uns like us. Good luck to him.
Some very good players, very capable of top 6. Following the trend of young innovative managers. With new and modern ideas and coaching styles. Let’s wait hope and see

So his going to be head coach not manager, does that mean someone else is running the team ?

Glad it’s sorted, just watched Edwards interview and then read he has got the job , I didn’t fancy any of the other candidates and never heard of him before the rumours started, came across well in the interview, welcome to Millwall .

Now we’ve got the manager we’ve got a very important role to play.

We all want our style of football to change and Edwards has a very difficult task deciding how, and at what pace, to introduce change. If he tries to implement change too quickly there’ll be many mistakes that could/will cost us games. If he takes a slow approach to change, our, often, unforgiving crowd could get on the team’s back.

So a testing period for manager and team and our fans must be patient and fully support them, even when things go wrong!

Think we need to end this thread and open two more, one for a more positive outlook and another for those with grave doubts about the new appointment and less than positive comments.
