Mid 90’s for me was Le Tissier…
A good read that book.I don't have a favourite player but those mentioned all have a bit about them.
Skillfull, showmen, entertainers and started out in life with tough upbringing.
Robin Friday is one of those.
There is a book of his life story.
"The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw".
I've not read it yet but will do at some stage.
My old man use to go on about Duncan Edwards.Mackay was best friends with our Des. Anderson who was also Mackay"s Best Man . Anderson was as hard as Mackay too.
One player who we never saw the best of and and I'm sure would have.become a legend was Duncan Edwards. Died from injuries in Munich Air crash. Great player at 18
We probably saved him from losing his licence that night!!I think he was just pissed off cos his bbc radio derby car got turned over in the car park.
Yes. I think they wore our away kit.Didn’t Dave mackay wear a Wall shirt when we played Derby years ago, because their kit clashed with ours.
Steady on mate!Trevor Brooking.
I'll have to find that one. Do love an interesting read.A good read that book.
What a player he was. I loved a the skillfully players throughout the decades. Never seemed to get picked for the national side. Or if they did it was minimal times. The FA were Wank then and still are. Imo.Mid 90’s for me was Le Tissier…
Absolutely brilliant, I can’t remember him scoring crappy poacher on the line type goals they always seemed to be stunning. What a player he was. I was at a Millwall Chelski golf day 15 years ago at a club in Kent. It was meant to be Terry Hurlock vs Chopper Harris, but unfortunately for us wall fans on the day, Terry didn’t turn up.Favourite player, may depend on how old you and what decade. However for me Jimmy Greaves.
