The result was what I expected after the Uddersfield game, so a useful point in that respect so, move onto the next game and get a win and the last run of 7/8 games don't look too bad.
Or went round the keeper with some guileI'm somewhere right in the middle between you and Life with the Lions on Burey and his miss tonight. Fair enough, you can't blame him solely for the defeat and he did create the chance. But he's got to cop a bit of blame for it too. That's the way it goes when you pull on the shirt. Haven't watched it back but my memory of it is that his second or third touch was a bit heavy and he got a bit too close to the keeper before he pulled the trigger. It's a shame because had he squared it or scored it himself, he'd be the hero tonight. It's fine margins sometimes in football.
Let's see how he gets on over the rest of the season.
Bang on mate and let’s give him some slack as he’s still learningexactly, amazes me that the one player with a bit of spark - literally the ONLY player we have that can create something otu of nothing is being piled upon. he ruined there defender, his run on goal (bradshaw would have been tackled within a second) was pefect but he made the wrong choice.
yes, lets drop him. let's have a team with almost zero flare and verve.
burey is very, very useful for us.
Of could have chipped it over RuddyOr went round the keeper with some guile
he's changed what 3 or 4 games for us this season. It's not and not the point i was making which is, Bradshaw and Afobe are strikers, they have the instinct in front of goal that players of other positions don't, simple as that. They anticipate what the keeper will do and know when's the right time to pull the trigger. Nine times out of ten a striker scores that chance. How about giving the kid some credit for having a go in the first place.
He's a good, exciting but raw player, can create something out of nothing, run at defences, take players etc. He has to allowed to make mistakes otherwise he'll fold and think why should i bother. If the crowd turn on him ,him and we are fucked.
reminds me of afobe's chipped goal last week. that goal was no bullshit, that was an incredible goal. nothing blood and thunder and hit and hope about it. the whole move from turnign teh defender to chipping the keeper was top drawer. It's not and not the point i was making which is, Bradshaw and Afobe are strikers, they have the instinct in front of goal that players of other positions don't, simple as that. They anticipate what the keeper will do and know when's the right time to pull the trigger. Absolutely.Said it before Burey is an excellent prospect and needs to be backed by the fans
He is, very shy and retiring. My mate coached him at Wimbledon and use to sing his praises, said he was very quiet, modest and needed lots of encouragement. He don't deserve or need some of the abuse he gets at games, it's not going to help him and most importantly, us.you do get the sense that he is a quiet lad.
This.Just think how many times goalkeepers spread themselves and save one on ones it happens frequently even for multi million players like Kane and Haaland. Who’s to say Herman wouldn’t have fucked it up he‘s not exactly set us alight with goals. I like Burey and he is the ideal player to come on late in a game when defenders tire. He doesn’t deserve criticism for taking it on.

Nah, piece of piss if your'e sitting in an armchairone on ones are a nightmare to finish.
Yep well agree with that. I liked the fact that Burey had the bottle to take the shot on, when it could've been a little easier to square it knowing he wouldn't get flak if he missed a chance. I'd like to see him take the next shot on too.He is, very shy and retiring. We're our own worst enemy at times, blokes on here hammering him, saying what he should have done as if they've been faced with that moment thousands of times. League one at best blah blah blah. Well he's playing and contributing in the championship so how's he league one at best!!! He's a kid for fuck sake with plenty of time and scope for improvement. There's nothing worse than an angry and frutsrated armchair expert
' Should have went round the keeper with some guile ' simple as that, no context about the speed of things, the ball nor the keeper coming at you like a steam train. It's no wonder Rowett is reluctant to risk certain players!
People are forgetting or Ignoring the fact that Ruddy Is a very decent, experience keeper.Nah, piece of piss if your'e sitting in armchair
There's no saying that Vlog would have put it away either, on top of that, Burey is right footed, Vlog was to his left if Burey was even aware of that is another one for the hindsight pro's.Yep well agree with that. It was and he was coming at a fair speed, the gap gets smaller vey quickly! But, but, but Burey should then of performed a triple axcel summersault, done six keepy uppies ( on his nose) then finished with aplomb.I thought the way he came out and the angle he set himself at was near perfect for the situation.
