He made positive changes (apart from Ojo) & the players didnt execute.

a crap first half cost us, nice to see us try have a go at them in the second, smith and ojo done nothing when they came on, saville had one shot and thats all he done all game, if we don't play a 4-4-2 in the next game saville should be dropped.

Thought Rowett should have made his subs earlier. Would have liked to have seen Ojo come on when Derby went down to 10 men, but it’s the old problem of not being able to beat a team down to 10 men!

ojo has pace, not shown much else, Mahoney would have been the correct sub today with smith on the pitch as he could have put crosses over, ojo was so far forward when he came on he had no chance to run at them.

The quality is there, it’s the lack of consistency! I’ve said it before, either Rowett can’t motivate them, or the players can’t motivate themselves, especially when the opposition go down to 10 men!

Rowett needs to bring in one of those positive psychology coaches, to unlock what seems to be a mental block that the players have, of capitalising on situations when the opposition go down to 10 men!

That, and having forwards that can score goals, would also help!

Have to say, bradshaw done very well when he came on, should start the next game.

Unfortunately that’s unlikely. We rarely keep a winning team as its more fun to ensure we have no consistency in personnel or starting formations. Also he scored two in ten minutes the other day so must continue his punishment of sitting on the subs bench.

Could have won that convincingly, shots off target plenty, apart from Malone’s strike once again. Only 3 on target tells us why we did not win.
