This report states that Burnley bid just shy of 7 Million pounds for him... if that is the case, they can't be THAT taken with him if that's all they are prepared to part with especially if they have just been injected with an obscene amount of circus league cash!

Would like him to have at least one more season with us. He should progress further and his value should be much higher with other clubs interested in future. Hopefully signing Monty today shows him we are serious about pushing on. If we play both Bradders and Rab up front Flemming will deffo have to get a bit more involved in the defensive aspects.

I’m expecting Bart between the sticks
Cooper - Hutch - Wallace a the back in a three or four.
Saville being more commanding in the middle.
So far in, that’s not a back group to build the core around. All those players know that extra amount needed ...........
