Wall V Swansea. Sat 3pm match thread

Up against a team that are good at home but struggle on the road. Not sure if that'll make any difference because our home form from the last five homes ain't been great compared to our results away from the Den. They have a decent recent record at the Den having won there and drawn one from there last five visits.

Wallace and Bradshaw have both been ruled out for Saturady They join Sarkic and Hutchinson on the sidelines whilst Nisbet and Honeyman are hoped to be fit and could play a role in the match.

The ref on Saurday has handed out 34 yellows and 1 red card in 5 matches so we need to be careful.

This fixture is muchg more a timid affair off the pitch compared to years gone by. One of my earliest memories of aggro and Millwall was seeing Swansea get absolutely annihilated when they turned up in the CBL back in the 80's. My old man knocked one of them sparko as he was heading for the front to escape onto the pitch. Fair dues and fucking stupid but if you've ever been involved at Wall you'd have been on a few suicide missions in your time too.

One of our flukiest results came against this lot up in Swansea a few season back. For anyone that's forgot,,,, They were 2-0 up after 15 minutes and it stayed that way for 93 long minutes until one of there defenders puts one into his own net. Two minutes and into five minutes of injury same thing happens when another one of there back three equalises for us!

First one was a decent finish as it happens

Second one even better with a headed finish that the likes of Ian Rush and Alan shearer would have been proud off. Minutes before that Swansea should have wrapped it up.

There maybe issues with some South Bermondsey cause of industrial action over a ban on overtime.. This is what southern are currently saying.

Travel Advice for Saturday 30 September & Wednesday 4 October

There will be NO Thameslink, Great Northern or Gatwick Express services operating for the whole day.

A limited Southern shuttle service will run, calling at Gatwick Airport and London Victoria only. These services will be extremely busy, a queueing system will be in place, and you may not be able to board your chosen service. If you are planning to travel on one of the last trains of the day, please be aware that, depending on the size of the queue, you may not be able to board a service at all, and no alternative transport options will be provided after the last train departs. Please plan ahead.

Due to industrial action affecting the vast majority of rail services across the country, onward travel options from London Victoria will be limited. Please plan ahead and check your whole journey before travelling.

Match tickets selling well with both east and west stands down to limited availability and only for the end blocks. 1, 6 and block 27 in the Kitch and blocks 20, 41 and 48 in the Dockers. Plenty available for the CBL lower.

Forecast for Saturday in Berm-on-sea is dry, sunny and warm

Should be a decent turnout.

Lets hope we can build on our last two results and kick on.

This is all very informative Peckham - thank you 👍 However you forgot to tell us the result mate! 😉

Really need to turn our home from around, or else bottom half will follow. Was thinking of getting arsene wenger to drop in at calming road and give our boys some tips on playing football on the grass, and how to pass and receive the ball. We do it very sporadically which tells me we don’t work on it in training. 1 - 2s are so easy and space rewarding, with a splash of feigning for good luck. We hardly ever have time and space, we are always rushed in what we do. Too many times too we are giving passes to another player who is 3-4 yards away, suicde and east to play against. Work off the ball, 🙏

It's okay Mark, you can be assured they do it in training, I remember doing it in the under 10's so I don't think you need to go to the trouble of getting the phone number of Wenger.

Even with injuries, it is still a rather strong XI.

One more injury to the backline and GR might as well start offering trials to us lot for replacements lol

He will never play Emakhu in the first 11. Never! He does not have the guts.

Think surely his hands are tied in this scenario?? We don't genuinely have another natural striker.

Unless he plays Flemming up top as a lone striker with Watmore and Campbell behind him, with De Norre and bringing in Mitchell to sit behind?

God knows mate.
