The mighty Lions V Birmingham match thread

Mate, I collapsed in January 2022 and went white as sheet. I thought I was about to have a heart attack. Ambulance car turned up after 20 mins and asked me what Covid jab I’d had, when and how I felt after it. My blood pressure went up to 200/125.

I had the choice of sitting in A&E on a Saturday morning or seeing a specialist in the Monday.

I saw the specialist on the Monday and it was down to 180/110, still not good but better than it was.

I’m now in 32g of Candestarten a day and although my BP is still a bit high - 145/90, it’s manageable for the minute.

Deal with it mate. When I’m off the booze, up my exercise etc it comes down. I’m always stressed because of work, so I have to manage it, but start to understand what makes it spike. I know mines booze and stress, which I’m working on. Go back to basics, live like a monk for a while and start to understand what happens to spike it. It could be illness/virus, it could be anything.

Good luck - keep an open mind, it will be fine.
Didnt have a jab but just had ecg and further blp check and its 202/117. So im glad im here, about to have bloods.

I only drink a bottle or red an evening, but yes i am stressed for sure... arent we all whilst watching the wall play this season !

Yes. The emotion of watching our wonderful club. And by the way, that is a great post from you!
The lines blur, Millwall is a massive part of my life. My grandad took me as a kid in the 80’s, went with my brothers in the 90’s onwards. We lost our mum 6 years ago and we’d always pop round after a game and I miss her every day. Big John passes last year and, rightly or wrongly, we are fighting the drop. Harris coming back (we watched him breaking through, then returning from illness and transfer as player then manager). It isn’t pretty at times but the performances of late are full of guts and that is life. It’s your kids telling you they love you, it’s a Tango header in a crunch game where we don’t look like scoring that makes your day- this may all sound soppy but I raise a glass to all you Lions 🍻. God bless you.

Wont be making this today. Chest pains and a 167/116 blood pressure rate... healthy, non smoker & 38 years young, this game today is not for the faint hearted. Please make some noise today gents. Enjoy the day out. Make it a boiling pot for the Brum players.. they'll crumble and shit themselves.

Come on you Lions!!
Hope you're better soon mate.

My first game since August today. I never realized how much i missed it until today. We are unique. My mate summed it up perfectly when he said to me -welcome home mate- once we got through the turnstiles.

Good to hear that you were at The Den Peckham, hope all is well and what a win to welcome you back. This bloody club doesn’t half put us through the wringer sometimes but would we have it any other way? No chance!

Its been like it all week. Wasnt until i went to my mums yesterday to use her blood pressure machine that i realised how bad it was. I originally thought it was because i was congested and coughing up crap as i had covid. Its gone down since this morning to 150/103. As long as it keeps going in that direction i wont clog up the hospital. Patients are in beds down corridors in both hospitals surrounding me. I am a stubborn git also. I watched the Millwall game and i was very muted, even in the 90th minute!

Joe Bryan was my MOM today. Savs played well, some great tackles and a super corner for Tangas goal. Leonard a little exposed to pace, but that determination in the very last moment of the game epitomises everything about a Neil Harris team. Its never going to be pretty, but just look what someone who installs a little belief in the players can do, and a change of formation to 4-4-2 just works for us. Love it or hate it, a wins a win. Cant see us getting much change out of Leeds. But our recent run of results is excellent. What a shrewd move to get Harris back.

Mark said he saw you today and I hope to catch you at whatever game you’re at next. Really glad your health now allows you to attend and look forward to seeing you. Welcome back mate. :wahey:

Ladies and Gentlemen, a big round of applause for... Mr Alex 'Erm Erm' Pilchard.

:grinning:
What is it with the erm erm or starting with So or You know. I hear so many people talking like this, it makes me want to shout in their face especially So, just use the word I.
There was an interview on TV, can't remember who it was, but he just managed to get words in without You Know!
