We ended last season with about 5 players on loan and currently have 2. I would expect a couple of loans to come in. We were linked to Anderson at Newcastle and he has played the last couple of games for them as sub. Do Newcastle want him as a squad player or to go out on loan. If he goes on loan then it would have all been sorted before today so depends on what Newcastle decide. Not saying he is coming to us but we are probably waiting on some premier teams decisions regarding loan players. Those decisions depend on who they get in and then they can loan out. Newcastle buy a proven player then Anderson becomes available. The club who have set up the loan then get him. alternatively , Newcastle don’t sign anyone then the player stays with them. All very complex and just have to wait to see how things pan out. A few premiership signings will have a knock on affect and more loan players become available
