A really good signing which shows great intent on the club’s behalf. We all knew that, at times, Long was brown stuff and we were all discussing on here that we stood less chance of making the top six if he was our keeper for this season. Finally, somebody was listening and did something about it. Thank goodness.
Here is a serious question. If you were GR would you put him in the side to play Boro. My answer is YES. What’s yours?
 
In his interview he says he was first approached last summer during Wolves pre-season. So the manager has been aware of our shortcomings in the keeper department, and was attempting to recruit all that time ago. Just shows how difficult it can be to get a player in, even when they are dead keen.

Question is do you drop him straight in for the Boro game or give him a few weeks to find his feet and get to know the defence.

He actually said "over the summer" meaning over the current pre-season, not last summer (2022).
 
So much for Richard Cawley being in the know after he dismissed Nixons claim we were signing him last week.

Put him straight in. He's the boss in the box anyway.
