Match day thread v Sheffield Utd u21’sC

Couldn't make it the end. Quite a few mates went, i'd imagine it will be a decent crowd. Plenty of locals i'd expect.

I'm impressed.

Our left-back Adom-Malaki and our number six (not sure of him name) at the back have been excellent.

Lawson in midfield has had some good touches. Nana Boateng is a handful.

Esse and Emakhu are the best players on the pitch.

Entertaining match.
We had the better of the first 20 mins, but the Blades have come back into it later in the first half.
I feel we do have another gear which we shall hopefully see in the second half.

Emakhu tried to guide a shot into the far corner. Goalkeeper palmed it out to Romanie Esse who reacted first to slot home.

H-T 1-0 Deserved lead by a skilful, mobile, pacey Lions team. Much better than a robust United side albeit Sheffield came more into it in the last 10 minutes including hitting the bar then forcing a fine Wright save.

Ref diabolical, bottled a penalty then later awarded a free-kick to Millwall for a foul that was at least 4 foot inside the box.

Esse has a languid style, scored our goal but I was expecting him to dominate in much the same way as Any Roberts and Dave Metmet did.

I’m concerned about Allen a Billy look and play alike.

We should go on to win this but United look the stronger physically.

We’re due another Millwall nerve-wracking 2nd half🤦‍♂️
