January Ins / Outs

I think with JED going, we should also say bye to Smith, Bod, Thompson ( sadly), Pearce, if not now, end of season, and unless they can get him sorted Mahoney.

We’re not going to get any half decent player in the January window, unless we’re prepared to splash decent cash - which we don’t have!

I‘d be very surprised if we buy anyone in this window (a couple of loans, maybe), and if Jed does fuck off to Forest this month, and we fail to get to the Play Offs, Rowett has the perfect excuse that we lost our best player, and with him missing, it made all the difference where we finished up!

Yep, if Jed goes this month, Rowett has a ready made replacement in Connor Mahoney! He needs to be brought in from out of the cold, and given an extended run to the end of the season (assuming he stays match fit). Then, at the end of the season, if he hasn’t cut the mustard, Rowett can put him up for sale!

Not giving him that extended run and just getting rid at the end of the season, would be criminal in my book. Mahoney could easily come good and save the club some serious wedge in this month’s, and this summer‘s transfer windows!

If you’d watched Forest last night beat the Gooners then you would certainly say that they are a team on the up.
They raised there game as we do against a premier side, Arsenal played five squad players that won't start the next game. Forest couldn't score against Huddersfield or Middlesboro prior to meeting Arsenal, i wouldn't read to much into a one off game.

I'm 72 on the 24th of this month.

I'm hoping to get a bit of in/out action during the evening!

Not sure if you mean you want a birthday party, and there will be a bit of dancing, with the hokey cokey being a popular request......or, you may be digging around the back of sofa for a few quid to order an escort from that 'Big Brazzers' agency.

I am not against Mahoney, he looks like he has ability from what we have seen, but his injury ( i take it that why he's been out, otherwise he will be on his way) record makes Darren Anderson look a good bet! IF he can get a run of ten games as Jed replacement yes definitely we should do it, similarly Leonard injury prone or just unlucky, he is clearly a player who would be in the 11 on his recent form

Forest number 2 Spence had an impressive game. Should be a good test for us on Saturday.

Mahoney needs to go, too injury prone and when he does play he only has flashes rather than consistency in his ability.
Burey should be the one we focus on as a possible Jed replacement. Young, hungry, already looks like he could be a handful. Hope he gets a chance.

As for Jed, been a great player for us but if we can get money for him this window we should take it. We wont go down without him and he has decided he doesn't want to stay here so good for all parties.

Thought smith went on to reduced payment one year deal. There is no “sale” here I fear
That's right he did, I would have him in the squad still, I guess by your comment, you would be happy to see him go?

Seems GR has come out and said it is BS

I heard somewhere, that Mahoney don't like Rowett & vice versa, and many of his injuries are fabricated so he dont have to work for Rowett.

No idea if true, but he does seem to have a lot of injuries and if he has downed tools, he's a cunt too.

When Saville went off injured on Saturday, we looked fucked in that middle. It showed Kieftenbeld is just not up to the level. He looked about 40 and was completely ineffective. He storms about and makes late tackles and plays 5 yard passes, that’s about it. We need another body in there with a bit of class.
After his second game for us, I said that Dutch lacks positioning and looks lost when he/we don't have the ball, good in a tackle, but doesn't offer much else.

We do need another midfield player, I just don't see the board giving the money for it.

As for what we need in, as someone said above, a left back/wing back similar to Danny. A centre half on loan, an attacking midfielder and a forward.

If Jed goes, Burey has to play wide right for half a season. Blood the youngsters a bit more too and start building the foundation for next seasons squad.

Could be wrong but i am sure i read somewhere that Burey favours playing on the left? I am sure i saw him getting some of his goals from that side when out on loan.

I reckon Thompson to Leyton Orient. Mahoney is injured not dropped and deserves one last chance when fit. Burey great prospect but needs to gradually build up minutes.
