First ever game

My old man used to take me when I was a young kid he would keep a record of every game score attendance ect in this big log book,one regret I never carried it on would of been very interesting now looking back

Did he log the away support? That would intrigue me greatly

My first game was a testimonial game for the Lions kitman, which took place after the season against Chelsea at the Den about '71 Millwall won 3-2

Yes the game was for Jack Blackman, the trainer as they were called in those days.

First ever game was wimbledon v weeds in 1975 FAC at selhurst, dons ground wasnt big enough. First Wall game at the old place v ipswich in FAC in 1978 lost 6-1 but apart from losing loved every minute of it

I think that was the game where a Police horse tried to get in the small bar at the Crown & Anchor where I was drinking

The same bar where they filmed some of the Panorama documentary. I always remember that night, all the lighting was going backwards and forwards as I was trying to get in. I can’t recall who told me, after he was interviewed, but the gist was they kept the drinks coming until they got the answers they wanted.

Hibs v St Mirren before I moved down then it was Orient v Southend followed by Millwall v Cardiff. Wall all the way from there. The odd Orient game as I lived a street away from Brisbane Road.
