Brilliant news!
FFS has he got a gun in his pocket or is he pleased to see the Doc ?The 'Twitter Wheel' is grinding away with car park talk of Millwall now trying to sign him on loan: **

Why would he sign a one year deal?
Yeah, I think the wages he wanted was too much for Bruge, and they would only pay X amount, and that may be the reason it all fell apart!Maybe with an option to extend it in he's contract ?
anyone look at that and tell me he aint worth a spot.
boom
Great imagination mate!Yeah, I think the wages he wanted was too much for Bruge, and they would only pay X amount, and that may be the reason it all fell apart!
Afobe has asked for the same wages at Millwall, and GR said, sorry, we can’t pay that! Afobe has then said, well can you pay near to what I want, and GR has said yes, but only on a one year deal!
Maybe Afobe thinks if he helps us get to the Prem next season, we’ll pay him what he really wants, but on a new, improved, longer contract?
Last reports in the Flemish press were that Afobe and Brugge had agreed personal terms. At the eleventh hour, there was a problem between the clubs and Brugge pulled the plug on the deal.Yeah, I think the wages he wanted was too much for Bruge, and they would only pay X amount, and that may be the reason it all fell apart!

Heard the same mate, reopens at 4.45 pm.July 31st
Possibly it's the way the club wants to go after having their fingers burnt to many times. If it works out he can sign again plus it keeps the player on his toes, two and three year contracts is to much of a comfort zone. Why would he sign a one year deal?
