Gave the ball away far too much creating attacking opportunities for them. Panicky at times, and a bit pedestrian.

Cresswell had a good game for the majority of it, but looking at it, it was probably his part for the goal. Wasn't close enough to his man.. but in all fairness to him Long did come out and didn't get anything on it, so perhaps Cresswell didn't want his head taken clean off by Longs haymaker. Battling performance, Wallace was stretched by there winger but was quite comfortable in the main.
We do keep saying it but I could see today how much we invite a team onto us, there pressure was good in the 2nd half. Not many clear cut opportunities to take to bury in the back of the net. Onto the next one.
1 more thing, the ref was diabolical.

I thought Mitchell was poor. He’s tenacious and determined but he can’t pass for toffees . Must have given the ball away half-a-dozen times, on a couple of occasions leading to them breaking and stretching our defence.

Sorry, we need a CM who is composed and able to pass accurately FORWARD !
