Surely this can’t be right. Watford and Udinese are owned by the same family, Watford have just sold Hassane Kamara to Udinese for a suspiciously inflated sum of 17M, Udinese then ‘loan’ Kamara back to Watford while the 17M will be used to ‘strengthen Watford’s cash flow’. Apparently there has already been several similar moves between the clubs prior to this latest transfer.

It’s just money laundering isn’t it?

See this earlier. It stinks but they've been doing it for a while now. Think the owners own Granada in Spain as well, or they certainly did at one time. Basically it's a tax avoidence scheme with a bit of money laundering chucked in for good measure.

It also helps keep Watford within the FFP rules, don't know if spain and italy have anything similar but it is all legal, man city have even more clubs attached to them.

You've got to see both sides of the story. It's not like they've just had £140m for going up, going down with the same team and receiving a massive parachute payment to help them back up again is it.

They must desperately need that £17m.

Modern football. I shit it

It is and the EFL need to investigate this immediately.

Simple rule change. If you sell a player you can not loan them back in that season. Especially if you have a stake in the other club. Even if there is no current rule against it we all know it is a way to get round the FFP rules.
