VAR

Sheds it’s all to do with angles.
Remember the Japan goal in the World Cup?
(& it’s the same with corners kicks)
If you look directly over the top of the ball, some of the circumference of the ball is almost certainly “touching or breaking” the line. If you’ve got a football lying about try it in your living room & you’ll be surprised

If thats the official photo that ball is out. Its very close to overhanging close to the line but, clearly out.

Obviously cost Sheds a shed load on a bet but for my tuppence:
Ball out: Not conclusive
Offside: No
Foul: Yes
= No goal

If that is the picture VAR used to give the goal, at worst inconclusive at best it looks out, so other angles don't come into it, if that makes sense!..Anyway, why as Wall should we care at this moment in time.

Correct, stand a few yards away and it gives a completely different view as to it being in or out.

Problem is it is the same group of people reffing the games and doing the VAR. They make similar mistakes when doing either job. May as well go back to what we had before or get in a new group to do VAR specifically, possibly made up of ex-players. That's my take on it.
