1st v 2nd at the Den. We went a man down on 20 mins when our number 7 got a straight red for a 50/50 challenge. Their bloke did a Swansea and rolled around like he had been shot. We played what appeared to be 5 at the back to start and once down to 10 went a goal down. We looked better when we went to a back 4 second half with just 1 up front. Our Captain went off with a head injury but we got it back to 1-1 then they made it 1-2. Reshuffle with Malaki moving into centre midfield and he hit an absolute blinder from just outside the box to make it 2-2. They were up against it for long periods but if the first team showed the same fight as these lads to keep going we’d do alright. Excellent performances from them all but standouts for me were Malaki, Hearn, Grant (Capt), Horsley-McKay and once we went to a back 4 with 4 in midfield Walker and Leahy looked very good too.

They need to be allowed to naturally progress to the senior squad and team. Hopefully that will happen in the future 🤔
