I liked the bit in the article where it said that the fee Forest paid Birmingham for Francis was not the £1M that everyone thought he’d signed for, but that it was actually £999,999 so as to take the pressure off the young Brummie!

As if £1 was gonna make a difference?

He played for Birmingham city if I recall and didn't a player clump him in the tunnel.

Pretty sure he played for Birmingham at the old den as a teenager. Great player but never quite made it as a manager. RIP

Must have seen him yes as a teenager against Brum, 1970 we beat them 2-1, Francis was a regular as a 16 year old. In the same side with Phil Summerill.
