Millwall Football Club is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Tom Simmons following a short illness.​

Tom, a former company secretary for The Lions - a role he held for a number of years - followed the club up and down the country over many years and was an incredibly popular figure behind the scenes in SE16.

His enforced absence from matches in recent months because of his illness was felt by everyone, but much to their collective delight, Tom bravely managed to attend his beloved Millwall's victory over Preston North End in April and catch up with all his former colleagues and friends.

A terribly sad loss for all connected with the club, the thoughts of everyone at The Den are with his son Martin and the rest of the Simmons family.

I did not know the gent but it looks like he was Wall through and through so RIP and condolences to his family.
