This is why football pundits shouldn't be respected, they know less than us at times

Not sure how long that would have taken. Maybe when we were playing Sunday league and broke. If he had changed his style and we were picking up points, fine. Then build next season. Right now we need points not pretty football.

Football league world. A click bait blog written by cunts, for cunts.
But it is a quote from a paid pundit who once again shows they know very little about what they are talking about, Parkin used to be on the highlights show, might still be, there are so many like him out there getting paid far more than me and not knowing anything.

These pundits must have a standard script and all them say the same thing.
Give him time.
Punching above their weight.

This is results football, lose too many and you get sacked. All the Rowett out brigade must wish he stayed. However he saw the writing on the wall when we got tonked a few times under him but you still felt we would stave off relegation.

Under Edwards, once we conceded, we ever conceded a 2nd very quickly or didn't look as if we would score in a month of Sundays. Only one outcome,1 point from 27, a complete collapse from relative safety to the abyss of relegation.

With Harris returning after 4 years?, the defence is virtually the same. Ageing and getting slower, the forwards have no height to comfortably play long balls. As for the inability to play simple passes this is a basic skill.

I believe, so must he for returning, that he will go back to basics with none of this tippy tappy football around the area when everyone was expecting a disaster. Yes get the ball moving quickly with players finding spaces. Also control the game, use tactics we made an art form. In their face, stiffle and frustrate the opposition.

The players could not play a game that involved passing from one player to another while the ball was on the floor and it showed up their weaknesses so a majority will be more then happy for the " hoof master " to be back , will it work ? We just have to hope so but don't expect too much

but get paid silly money whilst spouting out their ignorant views.

It's not just football though. I think it is something that comes with age; the older you get the more personal experience of various different aspects of life you have, and the more you realise that a lot of pundits or experts, either commentating on sport or giving their 'expert' opinion on something that's happened in the news, talk absolute shit.

Whilst he is probably right, it would have taken Edwards time to try and change the entire philosophy and style of the club. He’s clueless if he thinks the club were going to risk relegation and losing a load of players/money for that to happen.

If Joe had seen us safe before emarking on this crazy experiment of changing the style fair enough. I don’t actually blame Edwards though, I blame the bloody idiots who put him there, knowing he has not got a hope of getting financial backing for the players required long term.

We all know styles make fights as we saw with the u18’s last night. Fight on our terms not our opponents, do what we do best and use whatever we have to our advantage.

We don’t have the players to out football, footballing teams. We cannot compete financially for the services of the best players who play that way and even if we did unearth some great youngsters who can play that style it’s more than likely that the big teams who do and most of them seem to, will come sniffing and turn our lads heads with a load of dough.

It’s the sum of the parts that make a great Millwall team, they might not individually get in the top teams in the division or ever play in the top flight but they work very hard and effectively and get the job done. Even from our top flight team in the late eighties very few were big hitters with their new teams after they left us. If we have to be like Luton or Millwall of old to be effective/successful that’s fine in my book.

We defo were punching above our weight every season we were fortunate enough to have GR in charge. Hopefully Bomber can get us back punching above our weight and against the odds to stay up 🙏

He didn’t do too much hoofing when becoming our all time top goal scorer. Or returning to play football having beaten cancer. Or getting us to two play off finals and promotion. Or top half finishes in championship once promoted. Then getting Cardiff into play off positions, Gillingham into play off positions, Cambridge out of relegation trouble.

But yeah sometimes his players hoof the ball so he’s shit???

Barcelona play in stripes by the way, Millwall play in blue.

I actually don’t see anything wrong with it. In sum he mentions the pressures of balancing our aspirations for joined up football with financial needs. 🤷‍♂️
It is full of ignorance, he has felt he has to say something about something he knows very little about.
'Edwards should have had more time to build his squad over a few transfer windows', what state would we be in if he Edwards is still buying players in August 2025.
