Taking home ends

Great idea mate. Even not staying the whole game there could be great moments. Wall at Chelsea 76(?) was a famous one where a brave attempt was made. I used to go QPR a fair bit early 70s as it was local. Forever getting taken but that made it a proper bubble having it with whoever came in there. The vermin once took the Loft right on KO just humming bubbles. By the time it was finished all the QPR had left. Yids took it. Kept battling them all game about 73 but their numbers were too big. Fulham mate of mine told me the Chelsea North Bank went in the Hammersmith singing Fulham songs then went 'If you're just a bunch of liars clap your hands. Chelsea,' and steamed in. Arsenal's mob once pretended to be United in the North Bank, got escorted round the pitch then steamed into us (I was a CR then) in the South Bank. Can still see the big black fella's teeth as he came towards me😂 Just a few memories off the top of my head.

Back in the day it was a bit of a thing to get in tge home end and stay for the whole game 2 that stick in my mind we’re tge park lane at spurs when it was there end and Pompey home end I also remember getting in the kop at Sheffield Wednesday and more than holding our own only to get forced out at half time by ob feel free to share experiences
Taking the pompey end must’ve took some doing

Was it the Millwall 23? or less numbers that famously got into the home end at Newcastle and stuck it on them? @The German Herman was present that day if i'm correct, hoppefully he can enlighten us a bit more.

Millwall in Chelseas seats in 85, my old man and his lot was part of that. That whole day was evil. First time i'd seen wall proper go to town. After the game i witnessed some of most viscious violence that i've ever seen at a game.

In uniteds seats in 88/89 where we held our own and contrary to uniteds spin on it.

Arsenal 88/89 i was with a group of Wackers that went in there North bank and let em know we were there. Proper hairy when it went off. Got out with a few bumps on me nut and marched back to the away end.

Remember a very brave group of Swansea coming in the CBL at the old place and announcing themselves. By the time they'd got to say sea they was rounded on and properly served up. Then as they went along the side of the pitch to get to the away end our boys in the seats set upon again.

Would have loved to bee old enough for the Harry Cripps testimonial. Remember my old man coming home covered in claret, sporting an ugly black eye and badly swollen and mangled right hand.

This should be a good thread as long as no one mentions the time five palace ultras ambushed us whilst armed with ballons and sharpened felt tip pens. They were like animals and hospitalised our top boy after drawing a cock on his forehead , popping balloons in face and doing him with one of the nastiest chinese burns you'll ever see.

Some of us still have nightmares to this day There's no worse sight than seeing Brian from accounts coming screaming at you, foam hand clinched and primed to unfurl an insulting and hurtful banner on you.

Don’t think the lot who done Newcastle went in their end. Just gave them a good hiding when they came off the train from what I heard.

Fair enough mate. We've been involved in so many events that i get mudddled up with what was what at times. It will be good to hear Hermans take on it cause i'm pretty certain he was part of that infamous group.

The 28. Mainly in a boozer I think. My mate Deptford Lion who got the B'burn briefs was one of them, as was Herman as you say.

Chelsea Gate 13 seats 85. E1Wall was there. Told me wall destroyed them.

Not my thing, but was in the home end at Palace 89 cos couldn't get tickets for the Wall end. Thought it was just us but once we got in there half of it was Wall.
Went 1-0 up early on but then Ian Wright got 2 quick goals. One of ours then stuck a pen in a Palace fans eye, but they then just stood there, no reaction, nothing. Ended up losing 4-3 I think it was.

Remember two huge chaps that were tanked up at the very bottom of the HWL at the Old Den. They weren't after trouble just vocally cheering their team on (think it was Plymouth or some other West Country team). They took a couple of digs which they shook off but managed to stay most of the game. 'Wall fans actually gave them a bit of respect in the end and let them be.

Blimey, it was part and parcel in the mid 70s 80s 90s
Frank if I'm right I think Man U took the West Ham North Bank in '67. Think that was the start of a lifelong hatred. They went into United Road at Old Trafford around '85 about 30-handed where a lot of United's chaps were. Bold move. Unlike Chelsea who ran at the Stretford End at end of game and scattered them. Big fucking yawn.

In 75 millwall had a shit game up north and a friend of mine asked me to go to Arsenal v spurs saturday afternoon and i remember walking up the big steps into the north bank left hand side looking from the pitch, 3.00
spurs made a move arsenal taken by surprise and scattered big gap and i stood on a barrier and looked up and down spurs had hundreds in their or more i remember sammy skives had an orange bobble hat and blood poring so taken out by st john's ambulance next thing he comes round the pitch and straight back Arsenal by now got it together or so thought and run again this time spurs have three quarters as spread out, and this became normal at any and every game all over the country,

I had an odd experience there years back. QPR were playing Villa in I think a League Cup final replay at Highbury. Some oddball Villa fella asked me where Arsenal's ground was from the station! I said come with me mate and went in the North Bank thinking Villa would be there. Wrong. Arsenal were in there too trying to hold it against QPR. I went in with the QPR right next to Arsenal hoping for some action. Villa score, matey jumps up, QPR pile in but too many and their kicks and punches don't tell. I fuck him off and go the other side of Arsenal. A little mob is gathering from different London firms to have a pop. Arsenal sus this and steam in. Fella next to me cops for a right hander that busts his nose. It goes off everywhere. Fucking brilliant night😂
