CW sponsored the match (or match ball) away at Fulham a few years ago and Eddie was on the pitch before the game shaking hands with all the players.
They obviously had no idea who he was, I had to laugh

Speaking to someone yesterday who knows Eddie very well. They are making a film based on Eddie’s book but Eddie is being a bit “hands on” & telling the director what he can and can’t put in! Don’t think he’s heard of “poetic license” and wants it to just be accurate

P.s. I was told that Soho Rangers once played a game against a prison team (don’t know if it was the inmates or prisoners) & they managed to smuggle some gear into the jail.
True or not, it’s a nice story
