I won't answer this question until Saturday. Someone did a post a few weeks ago looking for predictions for the next 5 matches. That was Preston home, Hull and Coventry away, then Ipswich and Wednesday at home. Losing the middle three is hardly a surprise, though the manner of losing tonight is worrying to say the least. But to lose to Sheff Wed. would put a totally different slant on things. If we don't win against Wednesday, who can we beat?

If we don’t win Sat yes, because we’re going down
I think our board should start looking now BEFORE Saturday... even if we win on Saturday, it doesn't mean anything as SW are below us, anyway it's the teams above we need to fight against which we are just not doing. We gave JE a fair chance but he's not even scraping a few wins along the way... this is freefall and his inexperience is coming home to roost.

Yes, out of his depth, his style and plan is not working, defensively worst I have seen, overrun in midfield, not creating chances or scoring, yes players can be blamed but we cannot change the whole 11, so it has to be the manager. Move on now, get Dean Smith in for the remainder of the season or look at some of the managers who are top of league one, Pompy or Derby cannot be any worse, Edward’s on this form will take us down.

No.

He’s getting things wrong but injuries are hurting and he’s being let down by some rank poor defending🤷‍♂️
Some of the individual mistakes happening right now at the back are cringe worthy. Harding started this season okay, now looks like a League 2 defender in the space of 5-6 games. Confidence is absolutely shot to bits.

When your game plan relies on building from back to front, but your defenders don’t even trust themselves to walk without tripping over their own feet, you’re bang in trouble.

Saturdays an absolute must win game to give us a 10 point gap over Sheff Wed. Draw or lose and we might be hoping for Qpr getting a points deduction which has long been rumored but gone quiet lately

Those arguing it was wrong to appoint JE should note that the Ipswich manager’s previous experience is Spurs U18, Man Utd U18 and Man Utd Assistant Manager (to Jose Mourinho - not know for his flowing football 😉).

McKenna, like JE, had not managed a club prior to Ipswich nor played senior football, so the main difference is he had the chance to build his team in League One and not the Championship 🤷‍♂️
