Safe Standing

Clubs in the Premier League and Championship have been given the green light to introduce safe standing areas within their grounds from the start of next season

Anyone know if we are going to be doing anything, bit late in the day to introduce it for the start of the season though

Some of the so Called seating areas at some grounds are awful so you do end up standing so can't see the big deal about standing areas unless it a rouse to charge more for a seat ticket then a standing one ?

Should try it with the lower south, then if it’s popular use it on all the lower tiers. Would guess it would add a couple of thousand on to our capacity?

To old the stand now, last time i was in an away end without seats was Colchesters old ground when we won 1-0, Paul Ifield scored. It was the 2000 promotion season which we won div 2 (as it is now)

Until we make the most of the space available and unused this will not happen at the Den. Remember too it has to be 'approved'......this is millwall we are talking about

Not necessarily mate, it will probably have all sorts of caveats attached for it to be deemed safe. Crash barrier in front of every row of seats is what i believe will happen. Would cost a fair few quid for smaller clubs to carry out.

It sounds all good but when you realise it’s just rail seating that flips up there isn’t much point, it would probably suit divvy fan bases like Palace who have singing sections but for us where most fans do what they want anyway it seems a waste of time. Let’s face it the terraces as we knew it back in the day are never coming back.
