Didn't know who the gentleman was, until I read one of his articles a few years ago, and asked about him on here.

Pauls old man Ronnie was a terrific laugh also, he was a cookerman on the Asphalt and used to manage the well known Ship/Railway football team in Stepney and he died in the same circumstances at about young Jiggo's age.
There is a horse that runs in Ireland called Jon Riggins and me and my cousin used to call it Ron Jiggins and we made a nice couple of quid following it, It placed at 50-1 and also managed a win, it was our fond way of remembering old Jiggo and we used to look forward to the horse's running.
