Paul “Doris” Hinshelwood

I remember him well. A very solid defender. A game he played in back in the day was a must win after we had displayed some indifferent form. He came out of the tunnel with a very determined look on his face and a strong keen to win attitude. We won 2-0. He did have a brother Martin. He was 65….no age.

Sad news. Very solid for us, think he replaced Bill Roffey who went off to be a goal kicker in the states. Believe he had a brother,Martin who also played league football. RIP 'Dol'.
Played against Martin in the Croydon Sunday League after he finished his pro career, I think Paul might have played some Sunday football as well. They were different days, RIP

His Dad Wally played for us in the 1950s as well.
