Felt we were more of an attacking force in both halves, compared to the end of last season, and a lot of that was down to Honeyman and Shackleton!
Two brilliant bullet headed goals from debut boy Shacks, and a perfectly good goal disallowed for Bradshaw, which was a shame, as the lad didn’t have that many chances, but when that one chance came, he took it sweetly, but once again poor refereeing did us!
Honeyman was immense in the No. 10 role, and if he continues like that, not only will he be a Millwall favourite, but I wouldn’t be surprised that he’ll get POTY come May of next year!
Leonard had a very good game, and with him playing in Danny’s position, it’s only natural we put two and two together and wonder if GR is keeping Danny on the bench, until he signs the new contract, or declares he wants to leave!
Stoke were poor, but how many sides have we faced like them, yet they keep us from winning the game? Not today! Players heads didn’t go down when chances were missed (and Bradshaw’s goal was disallowed), they just stuck at it to a man, and got the job done!
Here’s hoping the lads can take this victory into the Cambridge Cup game! Win that, and the positivity and confidence will be there for next Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United away, when we win the game 1 nil, courtesy of big Jake Cooper!
