A tight and aggressive game where they just had the edge for most of the time.

We began well and it was clear from the off that we were up for it big time. Everybody was covering the gaps, getting their foot in and running for their lives. They had talent to burn and we had to keep our shape, retain a strong focus and keep our wits about us just to keep in the game. There were some strong challenges and Cooper and Leonard quickly saw yellow for some strong arm stuff. It took us a good fifteen minutes to get a shot away. A long ball to Oba was knocked down to Flem and his firm shot was straight at the keeper. They looked a threat down their left and we had to keep them out. Cooper made a couple more aggressive challenges and he was lucky not to get a second yellow and be off for an early bath. Then they got their breakthrough. Gnonto looked lively and he forced his way to the edge of our box, hit a worldly which flew past Shark. He stood no chance. We continued to be aggressive and deny them space but still Honeyman and Flem got yellows. Shark made a great save from Summerville just before the break and the half ended with them in front. There was much speculation that Cooper might not come out for the second half but he did appear.
We picked up where we had left off but it was clear that with yellow cards stacking up and player fatigue was having an effect so we made four subs on 62. Off came Billy, BNC, Leonard and Honeyman and on came Casper, Watmore, Longman and Danny. The fresh legs gave us a lift and we really started to come into the game. Longman played a good ball inside to Danny but his shot was over. On 67 we got a corner and it came to Sav just outside the box. His shot rebounded to Cooper but his hooked effort went wide. Oba had a wriggle on the edge of the box but his shot was over. They had a break down our right, their attacker just got by Tango and his low cross was met by James who scored for 2-0. To our credit we did not give up. A cross by Longman was saved by their keeper but the flag went up for offside. A good lay off by Oba was met by Flem who shot straight at the keeper. They brought on four subs near the death and despite the added 6 minutes they held on for a win which took them to the top of the league.

Shark played very well and could do little to keep out either of their goals. Leonard was aggressive and played well. Tango and Cooper were similar and Joe was solid on the left. Billy played a defensive midfield role and played it well. His partner Sav had a bit more about him and tackled hard as well as delivering some decent free kicks. Honeyman was loud and forceful and BNC had some moments. Flem played his part in our second half improvement and Oba had some moments and chances but came back inside too many times. Casper was star of the subs. He added quality to the middle, Danny added some bite on the right, Longman added some crosses but Watmore didn’t do too much.
Nobody was disgraced but our second half performance after the subs looked more attacking compared with the first half. They are a top side and we gave our best but they had a bit more quality all over the park and their edge took them over the line.

Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't for Harris today and i think he got most things right considering what we were up against. A team unbeaten at home with individual players worth £15 and £20 million. There sub James who played over 70 games for Man utd can't get in Leeds starting line up. We did well to contain them, spoil and stopping them to get any momentum going.

The reaction from Harris with his after we conceded was a positive one. We looked more composed and more of a threat with the subs on. It was also wise from Harris to get Leonard off. There second goal was the killer blow but we kept at it and never dropped our heads.

You didn't mention that Gonzo was offside when he received that ball

The relief their manager showed when they scored the second showed how concerned he was, we were slowly getting on top up to that point.

A great effort but we still do not have the ability to score in open play and rely to heavily on set pieces which we did not get many today which was probably part of their game plan.

It's a weak point for Leeds and how they concede at home but we just never got enough of those opportunities.

A decent effort all round today and a tough ol' game.
The subs made a difference to us (and troubled them a bit).

That might be the game that gives Harris something to think about regarding Casper being a starter. I thought he looked good when he came on.

No games for nearly two weeks, which means plenty of time for the players to rest and recharge their batteries after a demanding few weeks. By the time WBA ride into town todays game will be a distant memory. No real damage done and still four points and a slightly better goal difference than Huddersfield at the moment.

Sure it was part of their managers game plan to restrict our set pieces so fair play it worked. They were worried about us and if we could have kept it at one nil reckon we would have nicked a draw.

We are improving every game and teams know if they want to beat us they will have to work f**king hard to get a result, which is just how we like it.

I noticed one moment with Casper today which I liked.
He received the ball just outside our box, facing our goal.
There was nobody behind him, so he turned and ran away from our goal with speed and purpose. He was looking to relieve the pressure and turn defence into attack as quickly as possible.
That is something we have been missing when he has not been on the pitch in recent games.

He also made a couple of tasty tackles that, hopefully, will register with NH 🙏

I noticed that as well BP. When he is in a deep role there is no slow tippy tippy in front of our goal, just a thought in his head to get up the pitch as quickly as possible. An excellent footballer, probably the best at the club.

He needs to start end of, as much as I love Billy's effort, the game passed him by today.
CDN is head and shoulders above any midfielder we have at the club, keeping him on the bench is fucking criminal!

Hard game to watch but a fair overall , we had our moments but could not make anything with them but the biggest point was they had at least *5-6 forwards who looked like scoring we had 1 trying that was the difference , the 4 subs gave us a boost but the 2nd goal was a killer....got to play de Norre from the start , with the long hoofs we where aimless up front & really something needs to be done...but saying that 2-0 was not a bad effort at all , next couple of games vital to our season so got to address the lack.of strikers somehow, the fans were loud & proud but under heavy surveillance from the stewards & police the whole game but did it stop them..of course not
