....after taking over in November:

JE: Hi AB, what have we got to work with?
AB: Hi boss, welcome to the club, we have an ageing back line that have been great service to the club and barely a striker worthy of the name.
JE: OK, what formation do you play?
AB: Well, GR always wanted to play 5 at the back with one up front, but we don't have the players for it, so he changed to 4 at the back and we got very close to the playoffs, he then for no reason went back to 5 at the back and we've been shit ever since!
JE: So, 5 at the back and one up front didn't work?
AB: Good god no, we have zero pace and create next to nothing going forward! What formation are you thinking boss?
JE: 5 at the back and one up front of course!
AB: WHAT!! I've just said we are dogshit playing that system!
JE: It's how the Chelsea under 10's play, it's how Millwall will play, now run along and put the cones out!!

Nutshelled.
 
"ageing back line but we signed Harding, BNC and Tanganga, and weve got nothing up front so weve kept the 2 forwards who scored 30 goals between them last season and also brought in Nisbet who has scored loads in the SPFL (don't laugh, it's all we could afford)"

Despite this, it definitely isn't Edwards fault ..............

The Championship this season is miles away from last season, the 6 clubs that came into the league are far better than the clubs that left it, what we achieved last season was mainly down to the lack of quality rather than GR management skills (although he done a good job).

I just can't understand people that constantly bang on about last season, GR knew we would struggle this season so found a way out with his reputation in tact!
