RIP Dave. Sure I saw you make your debut way back when as a 16 yo v the spotters, may be wrong stattos will advise. Hope wherever you are now saw last nights game and noted there’s still some of your fire about our club.

Burnley at the Den 1977. It was the last game of the season and he was a sub i think.

Very sad, he had been ill for some time . I knew Dave from Deptford park primary school and living on Pepys Estate, although a few years older all of us kids played football on a Friday night on the grass outside Lanyard House. He was always the best player on the pitch and always a captain picking the teams. We were all proud when he got picked up by Millwall. Condolences to his family and friends of which I knew but haven’t seen for years .
RIP Dave Mehmet a legend for many of us back then.
