Curious as I don't think he done much wrong compared to Cresswell. Other than Cresswell scoring a good few times.

Sunderland signed him for around £2.3m.

Yes. Ballard is decent.

£2m is a lot for us to pay for a defender but it would have been money well spent on Ballard. He seems to be over his injury. Sunderland fans love him. Their biggest worry is losing him to a PL club.
