No not dead but was just speaking on Radio 5 live about Peterborough. At 79 yrs old he is now Director of Football at 'the posh' and still full of energy it would seem going by this interview. Obviously spoke about their win yesterday at Wembley but also about how they do things at Peterborough and his involvement from the kids right up too the first team. He said that they had gotten rid of all the senior pros and that the average age of the first team was 22 the youngest first team across all 92 clubs in the football league. Talked about how they attract and keep talented youngsters by promising them and their parents that they will be fast tracked in too the first team ie put in the shop window and if any good will be flogged to a bigger team. Said that this has be going on for sometime now and that word gets around and that parents are more than happy to let their kids develop at Peterborough as they know they will be given a chance. He said that they could have sold 16 million worth if talent over January but that the club wanted to keep the team together until the end of the season but those youngsters will be sold in the summer and others brought through. He said it was the only way of competing in League1 against bigger clubs with bigger fan bases such as Portsmouth/Derby etc. Apparently there not being bankrolled by a rich owner either. I'm not saying that this is the way that we should go but it's definitely food for thought over the comin
