U21s again

It was a strange game, looked like we started with a 424. We had Chin Okoli play at CB after an injury and 5 first teamers start, Bradders (Capt), Rab C, Emaku & Mayor on the flanks who were both good (despite Emakhu trying a bit too hard in the first half to force things) and Esse in centre mid who was very good. This seemed to not work too well as we tried to get the ball forward to quickly and we looked disjointed and with two attacking midfielders we seemed out of balance in the first half. We went one up against the run of play. They then scored 3. Second half, once we took off Okoli (who had played well) and Bradders and Nisbit and put on the youngsters we played a lot better and would have hammered them had it not been for their blinding goalkeeper. All of the first team management were in the stand as was Steve Kavanagh. If they were there to watch the Bradders and Nisbit partnership, despite their goals I’m not too sure they would have been too impressed with that showing but I guess it was more of a fitness outing for them.

Fat Dan reports that Leahy was impressive when he came on. Also our RB Walker.
Yes they were both good. Seen Walker play a few times, very useful. He and the left back Malaki could eventually play fullback for the first team. Josh Stephenson is another and Lawson who have got a great chance of making it professionally. We really have some excellent youngsters.
