Great mate of mine runs a charity for vets suffering from PTSD. Part of it involves giving them acting opportunities. It's a great cause. This is the short film he made for it. If anyone feels like chipping in there's a link at the end of it. I know it should probably be on the Members board but just wanted people on the main one to have a chance of a butchers before it's moved. Thanks fellas. https://www.hatsoffforbootsie.org.uk/short-film/

This is awesome mate and should remind everyone to seek first to understand then be understood in order to help others. God bless you! ❤️

Veterens are getting trained, to help Veterens.
Veterns, as with all those currently serving just crack on and don't voice things.
Vets are starting to voice things now.
No help from elsewhere. Always a bit dubious about Royal British Legion. Very top heavy with massive wage earners.

Great stuff.
Cheers 70's.
Appreciated.

Just sent my mate this thread and here's his reply:

Mark - Film has landed in a friendly zone(s).

STWall What can one say?

E4CBL A lot of big charities seem to be "Very top heavy with massive wage earners." It's iniquitous. We have no wage earners and virtually no overheads, so military vets get most/all the funds. HOfB has cost me thousands - I don't even recoup expenses.

Thanks to those who have welcomed film and posted it elsewhere.

Re Steve... Yes, please put me in touch with him. The right sort of help is always welcome. I wonder who his Lt Col RM mate is. It's a small world. Almost everyone I meet is younger than me!

My mate was a marine himself a long time back but he's half Iranian (looks it too) so got put into undercover stuff he won't talk about. Think it was quite dark. And though he's Chelsea, since the club has purchased the Stoll Moss building and thrown out a load of vets who lived there, he wants nothing more to do with them. He and I have a lot in common. Not all of it good.
