Forest Preparing For Championship Return? Nw

Forest buy Blackpool’s Josh Bowler for £4m then immediately loan him to Olympiakos 🤷‍♂️

I can only assume they don’t think he’s good enough for the Premiership but is an excellent insurance policy should they drop back to the Championship next season

Something not right going on at that club. They’ve signed a ridiculous 21 players over the summer, that’s enough for nearly two teams and that is without the players that were already there and won them promotion.

In Bowler’s case it’s even more strange, a decent prospect being bought for millions then sent to waste a year in the Greek league at a club that is coincidentally owned by the same bloke who owns Forest.

Shades of Watford there.
Maybe he wanted Bowler to play in Greece, but the Greek club could not afford 4 million, so maybe he's using Forest's Prem money to help out his Greek club?
If that's the case, it stinks.
But don't forget, all of these owners go through vetting by the FA and EFL, so everything must be OK, mustn't it?:wagging:

One positive thing is that Bowler won't be available to play against us this year.

If Forest do get relegated this season, they’re going to have anywhere between 35 - 40 players on their books, many of whom will be on big Prem money!

How will all this be paid for, back in the Championship, where gate receipts will drop (a little), and less money coming in from live TV games, especially if they get off to a bad start, as they did at the beginning of the 2021/2022 season?

Maybe Forest will go straight back up, a la Bournemouth, Fulham, Norwich and Watford, but if they don’t, then watch the mass exodus of expensive signings leaving the sinking ship!

Massive gamble which could go either way at the end of this season!

They're paying Lingard £10m in wages for a one year contract. Fucking lunacy.

They deserve to go down for their dodgy dealings. Get promoted with a team full of loan players then buy a new squad. How can their fans identify with the club.

The Bowler deal is as bent as it gets.

I'd hate us to get promoted and turn into a Watford, Forest, Norwich, Fulham, Bournemouth.....

They have spent 157 million in this transfer window. Where has the money come from. Surely not all from the tv money.

:slap:

The ugly one is a decent Championship manager, but firmly in the same camp as the little Chauffeur who drives the pink, FAB 1 Roller - Unproven at PL level.
Give it a Christmas time and he will probably be binned when they start to Panic.

That's absolute piss taking from a newly promoted team.

Parachute payments plus i reckon many of them will miraculously turn up at there other club in Greece for large fees!

Easy Olympiakos will buy him for silly money then loan him back to forest. Simples.
