Rowett now has an excuse to not attackgoing to play 5-5-0 and hold out for 0-0 draws in our remaining 21 games
Maybe Bods banging them in whilst training and no longer leavingLooks like the deal is close, will free up some wages but we have no forwards!!
We must have someone lined up.
I'll have a pint of whatever you're drinking.Maybe Bods banging them in whilst training and no longer leaving
I’d like Jed to stay if he signs a deal but it’s not going to happen now. Based on the fact we are neither challenging for the playoffs or in a relegation dogfight we have to take the cash for Jed if we can get it. We can always bore draw for the rest of the season with a 5-4-1 or stick any kids in who have committed themselves to the club or bring back any of our loans as you say.An interesting move mindful of our tricky situation regarding Bradshaw. Clearly we don’t see Smith as a stop gap if Tom is crocked and out for several games, possibly for the rest of the season. If that is the case then it leaves us short of front players and we have to find a solution in the next 13 days.
One option is to keep hold of Jed. He is tried and tested and a decent goal scorer and could be a partner for Benik or more likely Bennett. If Forest are only prepared to offer £2m then it could cost us a lot more to buy someone in this transfer window to offer us more forward options. OK, he would leave us in the summer for nothing but there may be a case to keep him as other options could be more expensive and may not work out. Add to that is we are looking to add to our forward options then maybe we should recall Oloafe from Sutton. He might not be the finished article but he is hungry and keen to establish himself in our squad so perhaps we should give him a chance. He has got to be more mobile than Smith and his pace and desire might give him an edge as a front player. It is not as if we are taking a massive chance recalling him. We are not going up or down so he might fit in well. If he doesn’t then maybe he might have to move on in the summer. Watch this space.

Tom Elliot - 4 goals in 38 appearances for Salford.
I'm surprised Salford are coming anywhere near us for forwards.

Hope so but a brief look at him on tv suggests another lad who drifts rather than graftsAn interesting move mindful of our tricky situation regarding Bradshaw. Cheaper option - free agent, former international and certainly in budget.I hear Harry Kane is unhappy at Orient. Getting on a bit but could do a job for us if he teams up well with Bod.
