Youngster Jamie Philpot and Kyron Farrell have both penned new contracts at Millwall.
Striker Philpot wrote himself into the club’s record books as he scored against Wolverhampton Wanderers with his first touch on his debut at the end of the 2014/15 campaign, and this season he’s gone on to make a further six appearances from the substitutes bench.
The 19 year old signs a deal seeing him contracted until the summer of 2018.
Midfielder Farrell has been a key part of the Under 21s this term, helping them to the Play Offs at that level, despite being only 18.
He has signed on until the summer of 2017 as he continues his own development.
Speaking to the official site after penning his deal, Philpot said of the extension.
‘It’s nice to put pen to paper and secure my future with Millwall for another two years. I love playing for this club and I am glad that the manager has shown faith in me so far in my career. I’ve got to repay him for his belief by continuing my progress and trying to make the most of any opportunities that I get in the first team next season and beyond.’
Farrell himself explained.
‘I’ve been in and around the senior squad a lot this season, especially in recent weeks and my aim is to try and get some minutes with the first team next season. I have really enjoyed working with a great set of coaching staff who have helped to improve me as a player. Hopefully I can continue to get better playing for Millwall.’
