Sid Nelson and Aiden O’Brien have today both committed to new deals at The Den.
Both Academy graduates made great strides last season and manager Neil Harris was desperate to reward them for their development and ensure that they remained with us in the coming years.
19 year old centre half Nelson has signed a new three year deal at the club and 21 year old striker has signed a fresh two year deal that also includes an option for a further 12 months.
Having both made their first team breakthroughs in our disappointing 2014-15 season, Nelson featured 15 times and O’Brien 20.
Speaking to the official site chief executive Andy Ambler said of the extensions.
‘Sid and Aiden have made fantastic progress over the last 12 months especially and this is their reward for that. Neil believes that the club’s current crop of youngsters can play a big part in both the short and long-term future for Millwall, so retaining the services of these two talented players is an important step.’
