Millwall have today confirmed that Wolverhampton Wanderers have recalled midfielder Jed Wallace from his loan spell at The Den.

The 21 year old has been with us since early January and been very impressive in his 14 appearances for us – Millwall have won eight of those games he was involved in – and manager Neil Harris is obviously gutted to lose him, but such is the risk with loan deals.

Speaking to the official site the gaffer explained.

‘Jed is a terrific young man. He has made a fantastic contribution since joining us and I thank him for his efforts. Jed is an exceptional talent and we have really enjoyed having him as part of our group for the last few months. It is a shame that he is heading back earlier than we hoped but we appreciate that Jed can return to Molineux and have a major impact for the rest of the season at Wolves.’

Wallace was set to remain at The Den until April 9, but with them recalling him early he’s expected back in the Midlands now tomorrow for training, and sketchy reports suggest that Harris is now trying to get in Blackburn winger Chris Taylor on a loan spell to cover him, and Taylor was of course with us back between 2012 and 2013.
