Shaun Williams took to twitter following our two nil loss to league leaders Bournemouth to apologise for making life harder for us following his dismissal.

Having now gained himself a four match ban, he was shown a straight red card in the 79th minute with Millwall trying, ultimately in vain, to get ourselves back into the match as he retaliated in a clash with Callum Wilson.

The 26 year old gets the four match ban, as opposed to the three match ban, as he was previously sent off against Wolverhampton Wanderers in our three all draw against them earlier in the season, so the extra game is a further punishment.

His tweet read.

‘So disappointed in myself today it’s not my nature I apologise to the lads and the fans for my reaction #illbeback’

The suspension now sees him out of contention for the upcoming games against Bradford City, Blackpool, Ipswich Town and Reading.

He returns to contention for the game against Nottingham Forest on January 31 at their ground.

If however Millwall require a replay against Bradford in our FA Cup third round fixture, the replay would count towards his suspension and he would return in time for Reading at The Den on January 24.
