It was reported earlier today that manager Ian Holloway was preparing to bring another former Crystal Palace player to our club, this time in the shape of striker Aaron Wilbraham.

Palace are apparently preparing to release the striker as Tony Pulis continues plans for next season, and with Wilbraham having worked with Holloway previously, the obvious link has surfaced again.

News At Den however have quotes from CEO Andy Ambler, and he has categorically denied that Millwall are in talks with the 34 year old and nor that a two year offer as reported, is on the table for him.

‘Wilbraham is not a player that has been discussed at the moment. We’re looking at lots of options but that isn’t one that’s been discussed.’

You would think with Holloway looking to rebuild the club properly and going off all his earlier words about what he wants to achieve with us, he’ll more likely target younger players really, as we already carry ‘experience’ at this level, so I’m not sure Wilbraham would figure highly in plans given we already have Jermaine Easter under contract.
