Heading to their ground with a mixed starting eleven, goals from Kris Twardek and Tony Craig gave us the two nil victory at the half time break and second half strikes from Noah Chesmain and Jamie Philpot gave us the comfortable four one victory by full time.

Former youth striker Alfie Pavey got their consolation on the night.

Millwall:

King (Sandford 61), Romeo (McNamara 61), Brown, Mbulu, Craig (Chesmain 61), Worrall, Thompson (Leighton 63), Donovan, Twardek (White 76), Butcher (Barbosa 54), Philpot.

Millwall have also appointed Kevin Nugent as our new Under 23 Elite Development Squad manager.

The 48 year old counts Leyton Orient, Plymouth Argyle, Cardiff City and Swansea City as former clubs during his playing career and he will work with the squad this week.

His was previously a coach at Swansea, Orient, Charlton Athletic and most recently Barnet.

His appointment sees Adam Barrett take up a new position, first team coach, working alongside Neil Harris and David Livermore.

Harris told the official site.

‘I`m delighted to welcome Kevin to the club. He has a wealth of experience in both Academy and first team football and both Scott Fitzgerald and I felt he was the perfect person to take up this position. Kevin will come in and help oversee the development of what is a talented group of players with a view to more and more becoming regular first team players for the future.’
