Defender Byron Webster has said he was delighted with his first full start for Millwall in our game against Wycombe and he’s not so secretly hoping we draw Manchester United in the second round when the draw is made later tonight.

Speaking to the official site following the game, he said.

‘It was good to get the win and my first game under my belt. And as I’m a Man United fan it would be great to get them in the draw. To be honest though, it’s just important that we got past Wycombe and are in the next round.’

Webster goes on to say that it’s never easy to play against a team from a lower division because they always raise their game, have a point to prove, and really do battle and scrap and give it their best efforts and although they made it tough for us and had chances of their own, he felt our overall performance was good, and especially when down to ten men, we defended resolutely and really dug in to ensure we got the result that we wanted from the game.

‘We’ve now won two matches and kept clean sheets in them both. You can’t ask much more as all in all it has been a solid start by us. We’re at Fulham this Saturday and all the lads are really looking forward to the game.’
