Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performance by Jed Wallace in the one nil victory over Leeds United at the weekend at The Den was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Wallace was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.
‘One of the stand-out results of the day came at The Den, where Millwall overcame Leeds United, ending the league leaders` unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 triumph. Wallace was a constant thorn in Leeds` side, and was eventually rewarded for his influential display with an assist, converted by Aiden O`Brien in the 73rd minute.’
It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Wallace for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
