The EFL have now released the candidates for the January Goal of the Month competition for the Championship, League One and League Two.
January gave plenty of strikes to consider but the EFL have shortlisted three strikes from each division for the past month.
Voting for all divisions ends on Tuesday February 13.
The winners of the EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on Skysports.com and the shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter.
The judging panel is made up of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet Sponsorship Manager David Tweed and EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden.
January sees the following nominations.
Championship:
Steve Morison: Millwall v Norwich City ? 1st January
Is there a better way to start the new year? Turning on to a bouncing George Saville pass, Morison judged his volley exquisitely to send it dipping over Norwich ‘keeper Angus Gunn.
Bersant Celina: Ipswich Town v Leeds United ? 13th January
Ipswich fans already knew about Bersant Celina. The rest of us do now, after he set off from the touchline at pace, beat two men and bent a sumptuous strike into the top corner.
James Maddison: Norwich City v Brentford ? 27th January
A second nomination this season for a player who connects with the ball so cleanly. After neatly slipping a tackle, his searing right-foot effort dived into the bottom corner in a hurry.
League One:
Alex Mowatt: Oxford United v Walsall ? 13th January
From the angle of Mowatt`s run-up, Walsall keeper Liam Roberts knew he was going to curl his free-kick up and over the wall. Trouble was, Mowatt`s strike was perfection itself.
Richie Smallwood: Blackburn Rovers v Fleetwood Town ? 20th January
Smallwood visualised this goal so well. Before the ball even arrived at his feet, he knew he wanted to cut back on to his right foot, create an angle for the shot and thump it home.
Ellis Harrison: Bristol Rovers v Doncaster Rovers ? 27th January
With his side under late pressure, Harrison delved into his reserves of energy to sprint 60 yards with the ball, leaving defenders in his wake, then driving his shot into the far corner.
League Two:
Sean McConville: Accrington Stanley v Chesterfield ? 6th January
Some shots simply cannot be saved. McConville`s genius with this curler from outside the area was to arc the ball on a trajectory which made it dip under the bar at the last second.
Dayle Grubb: Forest Green Rovers v Cambridge United ? 20th January
There seemed little danger when Grubb collected a pass and attempted to go outside his man. That was until he switched back, cut infield and sent a screamer into the top corner.
Maxime Biamou: Coventry City v Swindon Town ? 20th January
The timing, accuracy and ferocity with which Biamou lashed in a 20-yard shot on the bounce, after his own headed flick-on, made this a worthy first league goal in England.
