The League 1 season continued with the latest round of play-off games.
A goalless draw was enough for Bradford to see off Fleetwood, who will face Millwall in the Wembley final later in May, after they beat Scunthorpe.
Here’s a round-up of the action.
Results
Sunday 7th May 2017 – LEAGUE ONE PLAY-OFFS
Fleetwood Town 0-0 Bradford City 18:30 (0-1 agg)
Scunthorpe United 2-3 Millwall 18:30 (2-3 agg)
Fleetwood knew they had to score at the Highbury Stadium but they couldn’t break through the Bradford defence, a 0-0 draw was enough to take City through to the Wembley final 1-0 on aggregate, Thursday’s narrow victory making all the difference against the Cod Army, who had finished in fourth.
A third-placed finish counted for nothing as Scunthorpe’s promotion bid ended in a five goal thriller at Glanford Park, Millwall edged out the Iron 3-2 to win by the same aggregate scoreline.
