The Scunthorpe promotion bid continues to go strong with the Iron keeping a six point lead at the top after a 2-0 win at play-off chasing Peterborough. However, Sheffield United are lurking, waiting for any slip up, with the Blades recording a 1-0 win after a last gap winner at Bramall Lane against Bury.

Also keeping up the pressure, on automatic promotion, are Bolton after they up recorded a 1-0 win at the Macron Stadium against Coventry. Bradford, with the Bantams also winning 1-0 at Valley Parade, beat Northampton with the Cobblers’ early season play-off push stuttering.

Charlton‘s win at the weekend, 2-0 against Port Vale, was followed up by another with the Addicks convincing 5-1 winners at the Memorial Stadium against Bristol Rovers with Rochdale another who won handsomely with a 4-0 win at Spotland against Walsall, keeping Dale in a play-off place.

Shrewsbury dropped to the bottom of table after a 3-0 defeat at Fleetwood. Chesterfield’s 3-2 win against fellow strugglers MK Dons took them above the Shrews however, the Spireites remain below MK Dons and Oldham, who drew 2-2 at Port Vale.

Millwall recovered from a weekend defeat, against Bolton, with the Lions picking up a point at the Den with the Lions having to be content with a 0-0 draw against Wimbledon.
