The League 1 season continued with a few games played during midweek.

Bolton moved clear in second behind Sheffield United but Millwall missed the chance to climb into the top six. At the other end Port Vale remain in the bottom four after defeat at bottom side Coventry.

Here’s a round up of the League 1 action from the other games.

Results

Tuesday 21st March 2017 – LEAGUE ONE
Coventry City 2-1 Port Vale 19:45
Oxford United 2-4 Bolton Wanderers 19:45
Rochdale 3-3 Millwall 19:45

Coventry’s first win in seven probably isn’t going to make much difference in the bid to avoid relegation but it did see the basement Sky Blues victorious for the first time under the returning Mark Robins. Port Vale had been looking for three points that would have taken them out of the bottom four. However, this 2-1 defeat keeps Vale a place and two points from safety.

The Oxford hopes of making it into the end of season play offs were dealt a blow when automatic promotion chasing Bolton went away from the Kassam Stadium with a 4-2 win. The U’s remain five points off the top six with the Trotters now four points clear in second, closing to within six points of leaders Sheffield United.

Rochdale came back from two down to lead Millwall three two before the Lions eventually secured a point in a 3-3 thriller at Spotland.
