The League 1 season continued with a few games played during midweek.
There wasn’t a lot of change at the top or bottom but a win for Southend strengthened their play-off position. Gillingham moved a further point away from the bottom four with Chesterfield a point closer to safety – they still have another six to make up though.
Here’s a round up of the League 1 action from the other games.

Tuesday 21st February 2017 – LEAGUE ONE
Charlton Athletic 0-1 Oxford United 19:45
Gillingham 2-2 AFC Wimbledon 19:45
Millwall 0-0 Chesterfield 19:45
Peterborough United 1-4 Southend United 19:45
Charlton’s second defeat in three – extending the winless run to five – came when Oxford – a fourth win in five to keep top six hopes alive – went away from the Valley with a 1-0 win. The Addicks are now 10 points off the play-off places.
A sixth draw in the last seven for Gillingham moved them two points clear of the bottom four. Wimbledon had come from behind to lead but the Dons – who have won just once in the last 10 – had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Priestfield.
The unbeaten League 1 run that Millwall are on was extended. However, the Lions missed the chance to move back into the top six when being held to a 0-0 draw by struggling Chesterfield. The Spireites remain second bottom but this point at the Den close the gap between them and safety to six points.
Peterborough’s sixth defeat in nine further damaged their play-off hopes – Posh are now five points adrift of these places – but boosted Southend’s. The Shrimpers moved up to 5th and are now just seven points off an automatic promotion place.
